Description:  This magazine cover and spine design was created in Adobe Illustrator, the perfect medium for magazine text, where sharpness and legibility is a must.

The blending, transparency, mesh and gradient mesh capabilities of the art program breath life into the images by providing a means of shading and highlights.  The reflection of the images in the polished wood surface were created by reflecting the original object and then adjusting the transparancy and colorization of the copy. 

Illustrator's Pen and Ink, Hatch Effects, together with directly selecting the object and applying a gradient to the table base, were used to create and enhance the shine of the wooden table top.

Patterns were made for this illustration and used on both the background wallpaper and edging of the napkin on the table.
